What's so great about this deep conditioner?

Video Transcript:

Hi guys I'm Keonna from Indara Naturals and in today's video I'm going to be talking to you guys about our Honey Hibiscus Deep Conditioner. We’ll discuss what's makes it so great and why you need to be using it on your hair.

The first thing I want to talk about is the ingredient list. I created this deep conditioner about 15 years ago, and I made it for myself only to be used on my own hair.

I had no intention of making it for anybody else or selling it, so I put all of my favorite ingredients for my hair into the formula. I sourced a lot of the ingredients from around the world, and had to have them imported.

I took a lot of care in finding the best ingredients and the best form of each ingredient to make sure I had the best possible product for my hair.

When I started my business and I started selling this deep conditioner, I kept the formula the same. The formula that you get when you purchase this product is the same formula I made for myself and used on my own hair for all those years before I brought it to the market and made it available to you.

The first ingredient of course is water and the second is organic aloe vera. Both of these are important for hydration.

Next we have organic coconut cream, which is not the same as coconut oil. It contains more of the flesh of the coconut so it's more water based and it absorbs easier into your hair than coconut oil would.

It also contains Glyceryl Stearate which is a plant based emulsifier meaning that it helps to keep the water and the oil components from separating.

Next is certified Manuka Honey that I source from New Zealand. This ingredient helps with hydration as well, and it also has antibacterial properties that are important for a healthy scalp.

Then we have organic mango butter, organic avocado oil, organic hemp seed oil, and organic jojoba oil. These are all nourishing for the hair and scalp, but I made sure that the oil components are not too heavy so that your hair is not weighed down.

Hydrolyzed silk protein is a mild protein, it's not very strong so you don't have to worry about over using it. It’s there to help to strengthen and soften your hair.

Next we have honeyquat for hydration, and hydrolyzed wheat protein, which is another softening protein.

Organic marshmallow root and organic slippery elm - help give the conditioner more slip so that it makes detangling easier and helps to get those knots and tangles out of your hair.

There’s also organic Amla and Hibiscus, these are herbal ingredients that are good for your scalp, help promote scalp health, and also give your hair some softness and shine.

Then we have our plant-based preservatives, and the fragrance in this is just a blend of essential oils. I don't use any artificial colors and I don't use any artificial fragrances.

You can see in the video that the consistency of the conditioner is very light and creamy. It absorbs really nicely into your hair. You don't have to worry about it caking or just sitting on top of your hair.

It provides moisture from inside your strands and hydrates your hair, and that's what keeps your hair moisturized throughout the week until your next wash day.

I do recommend using this deep conditioner on your hair weekly, or every two weeks if you don't wash your hair weekly. At the minimum you should be using it monthly.

But what this deep conditioner does is it really helps to soften your hair, it helps to loosen tangles, and it makes your hair easier to detangle. I also find that it also keeps my hair from tangling during the week.

So when I deep condition and then I do my twist out, wash and go, braid out, or whatever style I choose - when I go back to wash my hair again I find that I have much less tangles when I use the deep conditioner versus when I don't.

It also helps to stimulate growth because of the herbal ingredients that are in it and it helps with length retention.

A lot of times, as we talked about in the video on why your hair is not growing - when your hair is not growing to the length that you want it's often because of dryness.

Your hair is getting dry and it's breaking off at the ends, or you're getting split ends of knots and you're having to trim.

So the Honey Hibiscus Deep Conditioner really helps to keep your ends hydrated and moisturized, while also keeps your ends from splitting and breaking.

When you are growing long hair you have to keep in mind that the hair on your ends is the oldest part of your hair. So if it took you three years to get to this length then that means the ends of your hair are 3 years old.

They've been through a lot of friction and rubbing and combing, and they dry out much more easily than the rest of your hair.

They become damaged much more easily, so it's extremely important that if you want to grow your hair to long lengths, you need to maintain your ends.

If your ends get damaged and break off there goes your progress, and then you’ll have to grow more hair to get back to your starting point.

If your hair is very dry, hard to detangle, hard to style this deep conditioner is going to help you.

If you are having issues with breakage, split ends, and damage to your ends this deep conditioner is going to help with that as well.

If you find that you wash your hair on wash day, and then two or three days later it starts to feel dry again, this deep conditioner is going to help you.

It's just an all around great product. It's the only deep conditioner that I use on my hair, and it's the only deep conditioner that I've used on my hair for years now. I do try to use it weekly, at least every two weeks. I usually won't go more than two weeks without deep conditioning.

But I really love it for my hair and I recommend it for you if you've been struggling with dryness, or if you're struggling with length retention.

Now because this deep conditioner has a creamier consistency, it absorbs into your hair really well it spreads on easily. I have other videos where you can watch me applying it to my hair, but you don't need to use a lot of this product.

With other deep conditioners that I've tried in the past, you really have to scoop out a big glob, saturate your hair with it and have it dripping out of your hair. You might use a whole 8 oz jar in one sitting.

With the Honey Hibiscus Deep Conditioner, a 4 ounce jar will give you at least two washes if your hair is shoulder length or shorter. My hair is currently hip length and I use the 8 oz size when I deep condition my hair.

If your hair is up to let's say waist length then a 4 ounce jar would give you one wash, and our 8 ounce size would give you two washes.

If your hair is hip length or longer then you're going to need the 8 ounce jar for one wash and then you would need to get 16 oz if you want two washes.

But a little of this does go a long way. You want your hair to be coated fully, but you don't need to have globs of the product dripping out of your hair. If you're applying that much then you're wasting it.

Just wet your hair and make sure your hair is saturated with the conditioner, but it doesn't need to be over flowing with product. Then you just put your plastic cap on, leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes.

You can sit under the dryer or use a steamer if you like but you don't have to. I don’t.

You can leave the deep conditioner in longer if you're doing chores or something around the house, however I don't recommend leaving it in overnight.

I also don't recommend leaving it in as a leave in. We do have a separate leave in moisturizer for daily use, but if you don't have time to rinse it out right away that's fine.

I guarantee if you use this deep conditioner on a regular basis, at least every two weeks you will see a difference in your hair.

This product also helps with curl definition so if you're doing wash and go's it works very well in combination with the clay mask for curl definition.

When I'm doing a wash and go, I use the Ayurvedic Clay Wash, the Honey Hibiscus Deep Conditioner, and the Argan Aloe Leave In Conditioner to make my curls pop.

If you have any questions about the deep conditioner, please let me know. If you already used the deep conditioner and you love it, send me an email or leave me a comment to let me know how you like it.

If you haven't tried it yet, you’re missing out!

This is the best deep conditioner that I have ever used on my hair. I love it! I won't use any other deep conditioner at this point.

I really can tell the difference in my hair when I style my hair and I don't use the deep conditioner. It's not as soft, the curls are not as defined, the style doesn't stay fresh for as long.

This deep conditioner is a game changer for dry hair, curly hair, damaged hair, and for length retention.
