Low porosity hair means that moisture has a harder time entering your hair shaft. Indara Naturals products work well for low porosity hair because they are water based and lightweight to absorb easily into the hair.

High porosity hair is usually a result of chemical or mechanical damage which causes the hair cuticle to lift allowing moisture to easily flow in and out.

If you have high porosity hair, you will benefit from the strengthening properties of each of the products in the Indara Naturals hair care line.

You may also benefit from a heavier or more frequent application of the leave in conditioner.

Additionally, you should incorporate regular protein treatments into your hair care regimen.

If you have not been using products with natural ingredients (products that contain silicones, pthalates, synthetic fragrances and colors, etc.), you should wash your hair with a clarifying shampoo prior to using our products.

Once you are no longer using products with synthetic ingredients, you will not need to clarify your hair before each use.

Wet your hair. Section your hair and apply the clay from root to tip, focusing on the scalp. Cover your hair with a plastic cap and let the product sit for 30 minutes. Rinse under a forceful stream of water, such as a sink attachment or shower. Massage your scalp as you rinse.

Apply to wet hair immediately after using the clay wash or shampoo. Cover with a plastic cap and let the product sit for 30 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.

The Leave In Conditioner is a light weight moisturizer. It works best on wet or damp hair, but it can also be used on dry hair. Apply a dime size amount to your hair, locs, or beard immediately after washing. You may also apply as needed between washes.

Apply a light coating of the pre-shampoo oil from root to tip. You may cover your hair or leave it uncovered. Let the oil sit for at least 15 minutes before washing it out with the clay wash or a shampoo.

The clay wash and deep conditioner can be used as often as once a week, but should used a minimum of once a month for best results.

The Leave In Conditioner can be used daily to weekly, depending on your hair's needs.

Our Ayurvedic Clay Wash, Honey Hibiscus Deep Conditioner, and Argan Aloe Leave In Conditioner are safe for children over 2 years old. Please perform patch test on skin prior to use.
